In New Orleans, is it safe to walk from?

the tram stop at North Peters & Ursuline Avenue, to the Lalaurie Mansion at 1140 Royal Street? I'm planning a trip & was told that driving is a headache.

Yes, that's in the French Quarter. It's only 3 blocks so it would be pointless to Uber.

Yes, it is safe to walk and it is only about three blocks.  Just use the same common sense you would use anywhere.

Driving in New Orleans isn't really the problem, and especially with the city still mostly on lockdown until June 15th.  The problem is parking, and especially in the downtown & French Quarter areas. It is because the parking regulations are Byzantine and you can easily park in what appears to be a safe place and still have Parking Control tow your car almost immediately.  If you bring a car to New Orleans then only park in a pay lot or garage.
