Why do officers refuse to answer questions. For example If someone is arrested and they aren’t doing anything wrong and they ask?
They ask the officer why they’re being arrested for no reason, and the officer stands there ignoring the question. Why is that?

The only person who can answer that question is the Officer themselves. Usually people know why they are being arrested but they still ask why.

Because it's pointless to argue with a moron who is convinced of their righteousness.

In many cases, you will see the subject is not yet cuffed and under control. Many perps when they hear the reason would run (or try). So they don't answer to prevent a fight. Also, the officer they are asking may not know yet as they are not the officer that will determine that.
