i have a ww2 revolver the trigger pull is too strong can i heat the spring with a propane torch to lessen the spring tension?

What is the make of the revolver? Just maybe there`s another way to solve the problem.

Nope you cant and should not do that. Your better bet is to see if you can find trigger springs for the gun and experiment with cutting coils from the springs. If you heat up the trigger spring with a torch you will essentially change the molecular make up of the spring steal and it may no long function as it is supposed to.

That will turn the spring into a spacer. It wont spring back.
A smart bunny would go buy a new spring.

Yes by all means destroy the temper of the spring, that's a wonderful idea. Kudos to you for really thinking this through. What a mind, such genius intellect, I bet you were at the top of your class at window licker university.

Noooooooo don't do that. Take it to a gunsmith, they will know where to file it.
