Do you think the black population in state of Mississippi will outnumber whites in the foreseeable future?

    That would require the Black population in Mississippi to increase by more than 50% in the foreseeable future, so no. That's not that I can't imagine it happening, but at the current demographic growth rates, it would take more than a hundred years to get there, and too much can happen in 100 years, more than 100 years, that would mitigate or prevent it coming to pass and the very high likelihood that over the course of more than 100 years that something would is too great to make that prediction with any reliability.

    I thought they already did.  Why does it matter?  White people and African Americans actually have similar growth rates which is almost nothing and both are declining in populations in large areas of the US.
