About TOEIC?

I would like to ask about a sentence in the TOEIC text book.

I have to fill an empty box, and the question is below.

Urban Textiles will not refund the down payments □□□ a costumer cancel their order after the products have been shipped.

An answer is “should”.

An explanation is that this sentence is “if sentence”.

I could not get that.

Please teach me why the answer is “should”.

One way of saying that sentence is "Urban textiles will not refund the down payment if a customer cancels their order after the products have been shipped." It's a conditional - if you cancel too late, you don't get your money back. There's an unusual use of "should" meaning "if".  "Should/if a customer cancel too late, they won't get their money back."

That's a rare usage of "should"- you need to understand it if you see it, but you don't ever need to use it.
