how to let my dad listen to me?

whenever I tell my dad about my opinions or giving him advises he doesn't listen to me at all and just keeps saying "you just came out of my balls, you don't know anything". I'm 20 years old. It's like I don't have any right to speak since "I'm a kid". How can I break that?

Come back in 20 years after you"ve raised kids of your own.

Of course you have the right to speak.

That doesn't mean he's obligated to listen.

The world doesn't revolve around your preferences.

    Sometimes people are a z z hats.

    Welcome to adulthood.

The best way to be respected as an adult is to live like an adult.   Do you live on your own and pay your own way in life?   Or does dad still subsidize you as his child?     20 is an awkward age for many with one foot in Adultville and one foot still in Childville.  It usually resolves by the time you're 30.
