Would this be possible in sports?

Would it be possible to play football professional but also compete in the summer Olympics in athletics for your country?

Yes, Nate Ebner competed in the Men's Rugby Sevens in the summet Olympics and played professional American football. Willie Gault was on the 1980 men's olympic team, but the US boycotted the Olympics that year so he didn't run. He was also on the Winter Olympics team in the bobsled. Lots of others have competed in Olympics. https://www.nfl.com/photos/olympians-in-the-nfl-09...

World foorball (soccer) players can play in the Olympics but there are age restrictions. All but three players on a team have to be 23 years old or younger.
