Does anyone else have an suggestions on how to perform a dramatic reading of a poem?

    read from one punctuation mark to the next. 

    Dont read one line at a time.

    Say your poem looks like this:

    I'm typing. Don't judge

    My poetry skills.

    I'm making this up

    On the spot. To make

    A point.

    Read it like this:

    I'm typing.(pause)  Don't judge (don't pause here)

    My poetry skills. (pause here. this is the end of the thought)

    I'm making this up (don't pause)

    On the spot. (pause. this is the end of a thought.) To make (no pause)

    A point. (done)
