If being transgender is such a burden then why do you feel the need to announce that you are trans in your bio ?

Being transgender isn't a burden to me. How's being a cisgender? All strawberries and cream?

My name is Da, I'm from xxx, my age is xxx and I'm straight.

Do you see how the last one is awkward?

They do for attention. Look at me! I'm transgender! I'm special!

That's all it is, ATTENTION SEEKING

Because at the same time, it's something that you shouldn't really be ASHAMED of, so why not? It's just like putting your info in your bio. It's common for people to post things like their GENDER, age, location on their profiles.

I don't.  My FB bio just says I'm a novelist, carer etc, which is what I am, and I don't mention pronouns.

Because people beat them whenever they just yell "SUPRISE!"

and spring it on insecure straight guys that are hitting on them.

Since being an ignoramus is such a burden, why do you feel the need to announce that you are with this question?
