Are pillows vegan?

Are pillows vegan if they are stuffed with feathers?

    Nope. Vegan means not using any animal product or by-product.

    Most people don't eat pillows unless they're dreaming. Not advisable.

    Feather-filled pillows wouldn't be in keeping with a vegan lifestyle (just as leather isn't)

    Pillow feathers are down..  Which are the feathers that ducklings and goslings molt when their adult feathers grow in...  So no animals are actually harmed to produce down filled items..    But they are still domestically raised..  So whether or not one would consider them vegan or ethical comes down to their own definition.

    Down filled items are major allergy triggers tho.

    Feathers are an animal by product, so no, feather pillows are not vegan.
