Objects accelerate at 9.8 m/s2 [down] when falling?

 (a) How long does it take an object dropped from rest (from the top of a tall building) to reach a velocity of 15 m/s [down]? (b) How far does the object fall during that time?

    ΔV = g*Δt 

    Δ t = Δ V / g = (15-0) / 9.807 = 1.530 sec 

    d = Δ V*t/2 = 7.5*1.530 = 11.47 m 

    d = Δ V^2/2g = 15^2/19.614 = 11.47 m 

    d = g/2*t^2 = 9.807*1.53^2/2 = 11.47 m
