What is the magnitude of the charge on each?

The electric field midway between two equal but opposite point charges is 936 N/C, and the distance between the charges is 25.0 cm.

What is the magnitude of the charge on each?

I got 1.625 nC, but it is wrong.

    he electric field can be defined as:

    E={kq}/{r^2}

    Since they have equal but opposite charges the fields are added and they point toward the negative charge:

    {kq}/{r^2}+{kq}/{r^2}=936

    {2kq}/{r^2}=936

    q={936r^2}/{2k}

    q={936(0.25/2)^2}/{2x9x10^{9}}=8.125 x10^{-10}C
