Why do third world countries with populations in the billions have fewer deaths from the virus than New York state?

Because they don't have Donald Trump as their President.

It may be the result of no significant exposure to the virus. Or no significant testing of the virus. Or an environmental or biological advantage which inhibits the virus.

New York managed to bring its curve down. Now do Arizona.

Because they shut down early and controlled the cases. Also, we were probably at a disadvantage in the USA. We probably had cases even before China announced the virus. We do have a lot of traffic in and out of our country. But it cannot be emphasized enough that Trump failed us miserably by doing nothing at first. We should have been testing: finding out who had it, and isolating.

There are no third world countries with populations in the billions. There are only two examples you have to choose from: China and India with approximately 1.4 and 1.3 billion respectively. The United States come in at a distant third with a quarter as many.Source(s): [n] = 10ⁿ
