Is it illegal to steal the American flag from the mooon?

    Hmm, interesting question. You do know that the rocket blast knocked the flags over, and over the years, the sun has bleached all the color out of them? They have been photographed from Lunar orbit.  The flags are nothing but bleached white polyester attached to aluminum poles. If you touched them, the fabric will turn to dust.

    The flags, being polyester fabric, will disintegrate completely, and be slowly blown away by the solar wind within the next 30-50 years or so.  Only the metal parts will remain.

    All that being said, even when the Chinese land on the moon, they will not disturb the landing sites because they are historic sites.  Even the former Soviets cheered for the American astronauts that landed on the moon.
