We'll never have that ability and there will always be selective forces acting in our populations...

No, just the opposite effect as more people will procreate passing any dna along.

    No.

If or when that ability is realised then natural evolution will still affect our

    species.

We will continue to be subject to natural selection, but the selection pressures will be harder to define.

We have limited ability to minimize natural selection. Heat waves kill many people who have the wrong body type for a hotter climate. Covid-19 kill a lot of people whose immune system overreacts. Drug abuse kill a lot of people who have personalities that prevent them from not becoming addicted to it. Gay people are being eliminate by natural selection because they do not reproduce. A lot of people die from skin cancer because they evolved light skin tones to cope with a cold climate that ended 13,000 years ago. Diabetes is one disease that we have not fought successfully. People live longer mainly because of antibiotics and vaccines. A lot of people used to die simply because they cut themselves. Many die due to contagious diseases such as small pox, polio, and cholera, diseases that have been largely eliminated through vaccination.  Antibiotics and vaccines prevent accidental deaths from chance events. They do not affect natural selection because people who die are not less vigorous or physically fit. They are just unlucky.

Many say that evolution in humans stoped with the advent of modern medicine, for that very reason.

Natural selection was never a thing to begin with, it's God who determines which species succeed and fail.
