New viruses have formed into existence always. New Viruses & illlnesses will always form. Ebola in Africa, SARS during the Bush Administration, H1N1, Zika in the most recent years.

Just because a new virus forms into existence in a certain country doesn't mean we blame that country. Although every local location is responsible for containing epidemic. That is the point of public health servants. People study, write papers in this field, major and have full careers in this field studying epidemics and working with the public to fight epidemics. With the public's cooperation epidemics have been irradicated.

If the epidemic spread across borders that is the issue of border control each respective country's leader in maintaining that border control based on the intelligence & data they gather abroad. Country leaders are informed of epidemics & outbreaks abroad and are responsible for screening to keep the virus out and making sure their people have the capacity & supplies at home in case at home. They also need a plan and their own experts monitoring events so if it does reach home they can contain it and prevent an epidemic or deal with the epidemic.

In America, Co-Vid19 is the only virus to have become a political and divisive issue. So, parts of the public have not been cooperating to contain the spread. That attitude existed since before the virus was discovered here. It's the public's cooperation that is key to containing and maintaining outbreaks. Without the public's assistance, the spread of the virus is irrefutable.

It's mainly Trump supporters who aren't cooperating with the public health safety rules. It's because Trump didn't want to acknowledge the virus and he wanted his focus on other places. But America thankfully was designed with checks & balances. It's our governors & local officials holding the line for leading the public towards public health. If our President is choosing not to maintain the outbreaks himself, our country proved that the local officials & governors have the power to move in as a failsafe to protect their people the best they can. That being said, hopefully, people voted the right people on their local & state levels to contain the virus and make sure their states have the capacity for massive outbreaks.

At the EOD, leaders of their own land need to protect their people & the people/public need to work together and look out for one another to be successful in containing and maintaining viral outbreaks.

In short, where a virus formed and came into existence. If an epidemic or pandemic happens it's everyone's responsibility to do their part to fight it. Viruses shouldn't be political. It should be about hygiene and not getting other people sick. There is no reason why people shouldn't adhere to the public safety measure laid out to us so each one of us can fight the spread.

More reasonably, too many diseases seem to be starting in China. It has to be thought that China is not doing enough to regulate it's society, to ensure public health. It would be reasonable for other countries around the world to leave in places enhanced biological checkpoints, for visitors from China.

No, Abraham...Last we heard this particular deadly COVID-19 virus originated with bats, and since when are bats Chinese?  It is the Chinese and the World Health Organization (WHO) who did the needed research to scientifically identify the virus, and the United States could have, would have, and should have been able to be part of this discovery, but the undereducated incompetent sociopath we have occupying our White House for the past three years decided without reason to pull our scientists out of WHO.

The blame has shifted here in the U.S. to a complete lack of response from the White House as well as the utter incompetence, corruption, influence-peddling, and criminal partisanship we've been getting from Trump, Trump's son-in-law Kushner, and the Trump-assigned toady (yes-man) VP Mike Pence.  Why no supplies?  Why did Trump not take charge from the very first INTEL warnings in December 2018 on through to 2019---warnings included in the Presidential Daily Briefings?  Why no actions by the Trump administration to take PREVENTIVE ACTIONS? It was on Trump's orders that ocean liners with a growing number of COVID-19 cases were not allowed to dock---and Trump even said his reason was to "keep the count of coronavirus cases low."  His "reasoning" at the time was that if no COVID cases were brought into the hospitals, he could claim [falsely] that the virus was not real or not a threat.

A prominent Republican attorney in Washington, D.C., has now stated on satellite radio interviews (one of which I heard) that "Donald Trump is guilty of criminally negligent genocide."  I'm inclined to agree, as are most Americans.

There is mounting evidence that the virus did not originate in the Wuhan wet markets.  There is also mounting evidence that the Chinese government knew about it & suppressed the evidence & attempted to control the knowledge well before letting the rest of the world know what it was & even that it existed. With the events of Wuhan they could no longer "keep a lid on it".. Or perhaps they intentionally let it spread.. So yes, the Chinese government is at least partly to blame for it's spread.

The Chinese, every peasant down to every tiny baby, no. Just the Chinese government and those who paid them to shut down the Democratic Primaries on behalf of the doddard Biden.

A person or persons in China, are most likely to blame for inadvertently causing the release of the virus into society,  but it doesn't matter because there is not much we can do about it now, other than create an immunization.

We can blame China for allowing antiquated wet markets, and somehow appeal to their higher selves to shut them down.

Yes, they should be blamed 100%. The whole world should go after them.  If anybody actually believes a bat caused this, I have some outstanding ocean front property in Montana I would like to sell them.
