can I bake won tons instead of frying them?

    Yes, I think so, if you spray them with a little spray oil, but I wouldn't have the heat too high because the wrapper could burn and the filling wouldn't cook through.

    I haven't got a fryer so I 'bake' scotch eggs.

    They will be quite crunchy and any filling probably wont cook properly.

    Just the wonton skins? They will crisp up a bit, but not nearly as nicely as if you deep-fried them. Unfortunately.

    yes--they take about 4 mins and will be crunchy.

    You can but it will change the texture.  Have you considered boiling them in water with a little added oil so they don't stick to one another?
