Is the world older than 6000 years old? Could YECS be right?

Yoel Cohen posted a lecture supporting young earth creationism. Is he a YEC? http://jml.org.au/?page=player&audio=1320

Yes, Y.E.C.s could be right - if the Earth was young.

The Earth isn't young though, so they aren't right.

    No, they couldn't be right.

Religion places conjecture and outright lies ahead of the truth.  Never trust a preacher, he is dishonest for his living.  A common crook, called a fraud.

    The chunk of Mexico

that is sliding past Washington state,

with a quarter million, 20 foot hops,

    did not make that journey

    in only 6000 years.

    That would take a hop,

    every 10 days or so.

    People would have noticed that.

Of course its older than 6000 years. You'd have to be a complete moron to believe that all archeological evudence prior to 4000 BC was for some reason fabricated by god.

No, YECS could not be right, it is not possible that the Earth is only 6,000 years old.
