Are the Jews still blessed or are they cursed by God? If they are blessed why are they so heavily persecuted and why the Holocaust? ?

I have had a number of Jewish friends who ask, “Why can God not choose somebody else for a change?”

Holocaust: Those who deny the atonement of Jesus Christ should not be too surprised when they are called to personally atone for their own sins. Blessed or cursed: Probably, both.

Blessed for their righteousness, and punished for their sins, just like the rest of us.

They are persecuted because so many of God's children lack love for him and his children.

The Holocaust happened because so many people were evil or indifferent to it.

The house of Israel (including the Jews) are the offspring of Abraham. Because of His great faith, it was Abraham who God made His covenant with. This covenant included lands, a great posterity, salvation and that through his seed, the nations of the earth would be blessed. This is through the covenant of salvation.

When the true church of Jesus Christ is on the earth, new members receive this covenant of salvation and are adopted into the family of Abraham through the ordinance of baptism. As the member is loyal to God, the member will receive salvation through the Abrahamic covenant. Note that the house of Israel was so scattered among the nations that almost all people have Israelite blood in them anyway.

Because of wickedness, the Jews have been cursed by God but will again be accepted by Him later. Note that this earth life is not the end of the story and God has a plan for all people.

Refering to the order in which the gospel would be administered, Jesus said that the first shall be last and the last shall be first. Jesus said that He was only sent to the house of Israel. After the death of Christ, Peter received a revelation to take  the gospel to the gentiles also (see Acts chapter 10). In these last days, the gospel is given to the gentiles and for the most part, The Jews will not receive it until Christ returns.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church of Jesus Christ to the gentiles preparatory for the return of Christ. It was initiated by angelic administration and is led by revelation to living apostles. The gospel is being carried by approximatly 70 thousand full time missionaries who are sent throughout the world. These are the "many fishers and hunters" prophesied of in the old testament.

'persecution' and the 'holocaust' are acts of man, not God .............
