So, you are forced to buy a new one.

some can. but many newer phones are glued together, which means you need a heat gun to get it apart.

and adjusting that heat gun to be hot enough to get the phone apart, but not so hot it fries the circuits is tricky.

they use glue to keep it as waterproof as possible. laptops don't.

some phones charging circuit can be fixed

    - it just depends on the fault. Similarly some laptops charging circuit may be unfixable

It actually depends on the devices in question.  Often it's not the case that it can't be done, just that it's not cost-effective.  You also have the issue that devices that transmit radio waves tend to have a shorter lifespan before failure than many other electronic devices.

    Not enough information.

It has to do with sizes of components.  The cell phone has many functions inside one component, that is tiny, made part of the motherboard.  Might not be true with most charging circuits of a laptop.  Could be a separate item, or a simple socket problem.  The cellphone is made to be thrown away if a major problem develops (besides a cracked screen).

Source(s): My cellphone was bulging, literally. The battery was twice as thick as normal in the middle. Got a new battery, everything is fine.
