COVID deaths by age and sex so far are exactly in line with deaths BEFORE the coronavirus. Not saying we shouldn't take precautions but...?

...shouldn't there be a slight variation since we're talking about a brand new killer, here?

    I'm not sure what you think that source is actually saying, but there's no reason to assume that any particular cause of death should have a dramatically different demographic distribution than deaths from all causes.  They aren't wildly different, but they aren't identical either.

    It absolutely is NOT saying that total deaths are no different from before.

    That's not true. Deaths across the US have been 10% higher than usual since March- the difference is COVID.
