British people who know the Rollright Stones, do you think they were once people ?

  • They do look very unusual but I only became aware of them after they were on an episode of Doctor Who back in the 70's where they came to life and sucked people blood!  We visited them around that time and it is quite an atmospheric place.  Who knows?

I'm aware of the Rollright Stones, though I've not visited them. They are, however, clearly the product of the same culture that was responsible for the Avebury Stone Circle, which I have visited, and probably Stonehenge (ditto).

They clearly had some deep cultural significance - probably religious as well - though at the remove of 5,000+ years, we'll never know exactly what beliefs inspired their "construction."

Do I think they were once people?  No, I have very few absurd beliefs.

No, those date back to a time long before England had Kings and Knights.
