Is it true that the vast majority of "white" Americans are of Native American and Black ancestry ?

No, but a lot of them have a family myth about a Native American ancestor.  It's an excuse to tell other people "sod off to your own country".

NB having a black or Native American (great)grandparent does not necessarily mean that it shows. Passing on chromosomes is a lottery

I'm pretty sure. There's so much diversity.

That makes no sense.  White people are white, not black, or native.

I'm white and I'm also a descendant of a slave.
