PHYSICS HELP!?

At a bowling alley, a ball-feeder mechanism must exert a force to push the bowling balls up a 1.0-m long ramp. The ramp leads the balls to a chute 0.50 m above the base of the ramp. Approximately how much force must be exerted on a 5.0-kg bowling ball?

    F = m*g*H/L = 9.807*5*0.5 = 24.5 N (25 with just 2 significant figures)

    Let the required force is F newton, by work energy relation,

    => W = ΔPE=> F x L = mgΔh

    =>F = mgΔh/L

    =>F = 5 x 9.8 x (0.5/1)

    =>F = 24.50 N
