2006 Ford Mustang?

Will straight piping a 2006 Ford Mustang cause lowered performance?

I have an '07 GT and sort of disappointed in the exhaust sound - but it's louder outside the car than in.  By straight piping, do you mean removing the converter, too?  You're messing with what the sensors pick-up and will do harm and no good.  And Ford was nice enough to give you a rustproof stainless steel exhaust system - why mess with it ?

It will make little or no difference in performance. It will also attract tickets for excessive noise and irritate your neighbors.
