Do you know how long ago the U.S evangelical churches decided to visit fellow Christians in Russia. ?

I know there was a very large meeting a few years ago held in Moscow,  but I haven't heard or read anything since,  Do American evangelical churches still see the Russian state as one of the last few nations on earth to really believe in their old Judaeo-Christian heritage, and follow those traditions.

The Russians are not open to evangelical efforts by non-Russian Orthodox Christians, or by anyone else.
