My Ford KA will not start.Could the door lock be affecting this?  Car was running fine then stopped for 10 mins and engine would not start?

"Anonymous' may be right , but if the battery spins the engine and it does not start, I would wonder about the timing belt.  Well worn belts tend to jump several cogs when you shut the engine off.  This gives the 'running perfect , shut it off, won't start' situation.

Replace the battery on your key fob.  Try another key.  No luck, battery is likely dead due to a bad alternator.  Get it towed to a competent garage.
