what exactly is physical intervention and how is it done and or put into practise?

I'm  been currently studying a few courses for the last few years, recently I've been doing a education course. Ive also wanted to work with either young adults or children but haven't been able to get a job yet, I've been looking into a few different schools to try and get a job when I finish doing  courses, most likely I'd probably get a job working as an special needs assistant, someone Im friends with  has a friend who  works in a similar role  to her told me something about being trained for physical intervention, I don't really know what it means though

why didn't you ask your friend??????  i wouldn't count on being able to keep a job in education if you don't show initiative and common sense
