    If the pH of some solution is 4.246

    [H+] = 10^-pH

    [H+] = 10^-4.246

    [H+] = 1/10^4.246

    [H+] = 5.675 x 10^-5M

    if the concentration of acid is 0.592 M and the pH= 4.246

    [H+] = 10^-pH = 10^ - 4.246 = 5.675 x 10^-5M

    ⇒  ka. =  c* α²

    [H+]  =  c* α

    .   .  α = [H+]/c  = 5.675 x 10^-5/0.592 = 9.586 x 10^-5

    Now,

    ka. = c* α²

    ka. = 0.592*(9.586 x 10^-5 )²

    ka = 5.44 x 10^-9
