    Oh my, the person who wrote this question shouldn't be teaching.

    2000 ppi, as Sumi states, is a sensor or monitor resolution. Thus, not applicable to the question since it's not a file format.

    2mb means 2 milli-bits which is nonsensical (bits can only be integer numbers), thus not applicable. However, since this question was written by someone who doesn't understand how to write a question, it probably means 2 mega bytes (2MB). This could be a reasonable answer.

    2400x1600 pixels could also be a reasonable answer as it describes the resolution of the image.

    750 dpi is a printer resolution specification, thus not applicable as paper isn't a file format. Image files often have a DPI number in them, but it doesn't have anything to do with how good the image is since that number can be arbitrarily changed with no effect on the image.

    I can show you 2MB files that have beautiful or horrible quality and 2400x1600 pixel images that are beautiful or horrible quality. It depends on the file format and compression used. Thus, 2MB and 2400x1600 pixels is the right answer with caveats.

    If you want to be nasty, call the instructor out on these choices.

    PPI stands for pixels per inch and is used to describe the resolution of monitors and sensors.

    DPI stand for dots per inch and is used to describe the resolution of printers.

    2400 x 1600 pixels = 3,840,000 pixels (3.84MP)

    2mb (mb = megabits; MB (big B) = megabytes) -  A two mb (megabit) image is very small.

    Quality and resolution are not the same things.  You can have a two images of the same resolution but with different image quality.  As you can have an image with bad image quality even though it has a higher resolution than another image with better image quality.

    Image quality is comprised of a lot of different things such as the quality of the lens, the resolution of the sensor, the technical and artistic choices made by the photographer, etc... all add up to make what we perceive as image quality.
