What happens if you eat less than your BMR?

Calories are used to fuel your bodily functions for your BMR right? I've lost a few pounds since lockdown started, but my BMR is around 1500, I do tend to overeat my TDEE sometimes (my TDEE for my current activity level is around 1700-1800), and at times I eat around 1900-2000 or just over 2000, but that can't be too bad hopefully.
