Is the Coronavirus as bad as Black Death was ?

Update:

I know the death toll is lower because we have better medicine but is the disease just as bad?

Not even close. The death rate of CoVir 19 is about 0.5 to 2% of those who get it. The Black Death had a death rate of about 40% and in some places as high as 60%. As of today worldwide 18,442,382 people have had the virus and 697,175 have died or .037. Also 11,672615 have recovered.

No, it isn't so far. The Black Death is estimated to have killed 75–200 million people over 4 years.

  • Not close.....the h1n1 virus in the Obama years was far worse 35 million dead

    No where near.

The survival rate for the Chinese flu is around 2%.

The Black Death (known as 'The Pestilence' to its contemporaries.) took as many as 50%.

Dude,  the Spanish flu was worse than covid.  It had a 20% death rate.  Covid has a 2 to 3% death rate.

The Black Death recurred annually until it was just known as "the plague".  The coronavirus  pandemic is less than a year old. The total body count won't be available until it ends. Keep your mask on and wait.
