Can gamma rays be weaponized and used as warfare?

    In principle yes. If you confine it to a beam you can give your enemy cancer. Two problems with that is not easy to make a beam, and that the ray penetrates almost anything. So even if you hit your enemy at a few miles distance, you can do the same to your friend who is (miles) behind your enemy

    They're produced by nuclear weapons.  Aside from the tremendous explosive power of nuclear weapons, they also produce a lot of radiation.

    Have you heard of the Neutron atomic weapon??  Kills people, but does not damage the buildings. I suspect we may have a few of those, just in case.
