CAN A JADE PLANT GET SCORCED BY THE HOT FLORIDA SUN?
Jade plant is often considered an easy-to-grow species, but there may have problems in humid Florida where root rot and mildew are common. High heat can make the fleshy leaves scorched & shrivel. You can place it in bright light, but not direct sun. The Jade plant is at its best in cozy and temperate weather.Source(s): www.treeremovalgrandrapidsmi.com

Yes, they can get burnt in hot dry sun in the South. However, they are hardy, and if you give it some light shade in the hottest part of the day it should recover.

They need full sun in order to grow properly. If they do not have full sun, they may become stunted and leggy.
