Wrong category.  The "dark arts" as you call them are not "performing arts".  They are not stage magic.

The intention of a practitioner of the dark arts is to gain power by the use of secret natural or supernatural means, usually for selfish or evil purposes.  A poisoner practices a "dark art" because the poisoner's desire is to incapacitate or to kill, and the poison is a secret weapon.
