how do you figure a non profit cost of a business?

    Meat comes in, sausage comes out.

    You use Quickbooks or Peachtree  or another good accounting program.

    The same way you figure a 'For Profit' Cost of Business.

    Just remember that after all of the expenses are in, the non-profit HAS to give away all income unless it is earmarked for a specific project...like building a free library or funding a medical center for homeless people.
