Should I learn to speak Italian or Spanish?

    Spanish will be much more useful to you.  Knowing it, I've had no trouble getting around Italy.

    We know nothing about you or what language you might or might not need in the future. This is entirely up to  you.

    If you want to learn a second langauge, choose one that you will actually use.

    Only the one YOU prefer / have an interest for. No matter what we think, we are not you and so, don't have the same need(s) and / or favorite language.

    That depends entirely on whether you are more likely to meet Spanish or Italian speakers. If you are planning lengthy holidays in Italy then Italian would be the language of choice. If you live in the USA then you should learn Spanish.

    don't worry about learning a foreign language. american is the universal language.
