    180+28 = 208° (ccw)  ....or -(90+62) = -152° (cw)

    First, you need to establish that West is 270 degrees.

    South of west, you would subtract.

    270° -28° = 242°

    Note that the "alternative" or opposite angle is 242 -180 or 62°

    West is 270°.  To go South from West is counter-clockwise, meaning you subtract 28°. 270 - 28 is 242°.
