Why do people sometimes blame citizens for the mistakes of their government and their country’s historical decisions?

If it is a democracy the people elect the government and therefore bear the responsibility for their choice.

because using the victim card historically almost always works for gullible naïve people who cant think on their own

Because our governments are representing us. 🥴 Their fvck ups fall on our heads.

Which means we suffer the same consequences in electing idiots.

And I think it's fair game. If majority of a country chooses pxss poor politicians, we SHOULD suffer the consequences.

That's why it's important to choose wisely and vote for a proper representative.
