Why do husbands always say that they're looking for something different, so they're leaving?

Again, shoeshopper, you have now asked over 720 questions, so what else do you do for advice and why might you need so much of it? I suspect that you aren't really seeking advice, but more in search of entertainment?  Nevertheless, husbands don't "ALWAYS" say or do anything.  Generalizations like this and the other one you asked, today, are always ("ALWAYS" ) FALSE,  although this, too, is a generalization.

Instead of making broad assumptions, how about sharing what is personally going on in your life,  but only if you are really seeking advice.

My parents were married to each other and my father never said any such thing to my mother and never wanted to leave.

The premise of your question is invalid.
