Are countries that force female students to wear a tie to school sexist?

If no, is that different than forcing male students to wear a dress to school? Why or why not, thanks.

    No.

I think you're petty and bored with life.

I had to wear a neck tie with my Catholic school girl uniform.

    Was embarrassed by it too.

However, as a grown up.... a neck tie is just a piece of linen. Who cares?

Find a better issue to occupy your privileged boredom.

it would be sexist if it was the opposite, meaning if they forced them to remove ties if they wore them, insinuating that only males can wear ties to school. other than that its just a dress code curriculum placed on both males and females since both genders wear different clothing. if it was a topic about trans students, then that would be a whole different story perhaps. at the end of the day its all about professionalism in the eyes of the school board
