What are some examples of social critique in George Orwell’s book 1984?

    Oh, there aren't very many. Between the first and last pages you'd be hard pressed to find any at all. "1984" doesn't really concern itself with things like society. And everything seems to be going swimmingly throughout the book, so I can't see how there'd be anything to criticize in the first place.
