What is common to the greatest number gets the least amount of care? Does socialism suck? ?

What is common to the greatest number gets the least amount of care. People pay most attention to what is their own: they care less for what is common; or, at any rate, they care for it only to the extent to which each is individually concerned. Even when there is no other cause for inattention, people are more prone to neglect their duty when they think that another attending to it . Aristotle

Both capitalism and socialism fail for different reasons. Societies today are all a mix of both and have been for a long time. Capitalism fails as wealth concentrates and governing systems corrupt. The USA has moved too far towards capitalism and is in a mode of failure. The correction of over-capitalism can either be evolution pushing the pendulum back towards the middle, or an overthrow that is a major fast shift from one way to the other, a revolution. I don't want it to go there.

On a small scale, each of socialism and capitalism works.

Publix Supermarkets is an excellent example of workers owning the company.

Far more should be modeled that way. It is a capitalist business as a whole and industry, but ownership benefits the workers.
