How much is a Mexican made Fender Stratocaster guitar worth?  2000/2001.  Flawless condition. MZ02XXXXX?

It looks alot like this, but with three pickups.

Somewhere between $75 and $300, depending on how good that particular one is. Can't tell by brand, model, and country of origin. Can tell by actually playing it with experience, mainly concentrating on the neck, action, intonation, etc. In-hand, may as well check if all controls work, if the thing has been messed/messed up during its long existence (like pliers scars, etc.), etc.

Fenders, including Squiers, basically are three levels: Chinese, Mexican, and USA, with corresponding prices, which roughly double at each step. The pic, BTW, has three pickups - the one near the bridge is a humbucker - in an HSS configuration (my favorite).

Certainly worth a try if new to Strats and on a budget. If not able to go to the guitar, I'd want it shipped with a pretty iron-clad return deal in case it turns out to be a poor one. At this price level, it also doesn't make much sense to then resort to going for replacing the neck, pups, pots, tuners, etc. Way better to get a better guitar in the first place.
