If you mean they are a couple, then "a relationship." Being in relationship is actually correct, but, implies something quite different - like they are in sync.

With each other is In a relationship, with something else they seem to be in a relationship to...that.

I'm not a native English speaker but I would say: '' .... in A relationship ''.
