How to work in HR with a communications degree ? ?

What steps would I have to take in order to work in Human Resources having a communications degree? If that’s even possible?

    Start by looking at job descriptions and figure out how to "convert" your general skills and knowledge to those needed in an HR job.  For example, everyone working in a corporate job needs basic computer skills with MS Office applications, good communications skills, etc. If you were in communications, you probably have some basic business and good writing exposure.  

    Next, look for an entry level job.  The titles will be "specialist," "clerk," "generalist,"or "coordinator."  

    Once you decide what area of HR you are interested in (recruiting, benefits, organizational management, etc.) you can get training and classes and certifications.  Just google "online HR certification" or similar and you'll see certificate and Master's degree programs.
