In the army, do generals still a have far greater degrees of freedom than the soldiers(even though they are both military personnel’s)?

You don't need a college degree in freedom to join the Army. Far greater degrees of freedom may be called 'far greater' in the name but that's just a ruse to distract you from the fact that they're just as worthless as a degree in gender studies.

No, they have even less. They, as a person of higher rank, must set the example for all of those under his command.

No, they have to get permission to leave the base or go on leave. The SGT bosses them around and humiliates them in front of other officers. They have to be paid more and have to live in better housing. They also have servants which really makes them mad. They can't even drive themselves around, an enlisted man gets to do that. So you see how little freedom they have.

As they are the ones making decisions for others, it is what they say that goes. Of course, they are also restrained by their positions, and get the promotions because they work within the restraints. But, in a very general way, they have more latitude, but, it isn't by all that much. A general still puts his pants on one leg at a time, exactly the same as any private.

Again, for the 50th time, generals ARE soldiers.
If you are asking about the US military, it isn't a prison. Once people finish their initial training, they are relatively free to come and go. However, the higher ranking one is, the more privileges they get.

They have more freedom, but their careers will end if they exercise that freedom inappropriately. With freedom comes responsibility to manage one's own behavior/choices.
This is true whether one is a general or a garbage collector.
