Logitech say their g25 steering device isn't compatible with usb 3:0, is that true?
Or do you know otherwise?, i want to believe them to fix a problem i have, but i've heard different in some forums..

I don't see any good reason for the G25 not to work in a USB 3 port. You may, however, plug a USB 2 hub into the USB 3 port, then plug the G25 into the hub.
FYI, the G25, like other controllers, keyboards, mice, etc., are low-speed (1.5 Mbit/s) USB 1 devices, and their data transfers rates do not increase when connected to newer generation USB controllers.

USB is backward compatible but to be honest some hardware manufacturers software screws up by not recognising new hardware as compatible until they update the software.
If it works (and it should) just ignore it.

When a manufacturer tells you something's wrong with one of *their* products, you should believe them.

It's an older model so it being incompatible with USB 3.0 isn't surprising, and the increased speed for devices is barely noticeable.
