Why on earth does YH answer not allow us to comment on others' answers ? Exchange of views can make us easily understand each other . ?

It is good for all of us.  Right?    Why do they want to silence us?  Why?

------ What is your thoughts on this ?   Thank  you all.

Update:

Does  YH violate "freedom  of speech"  for that  ?

Because they feel threatened by logic and people who's opinions differ from their own narrow minded view of the world.

Because then some ones inbox would be flooded by two idiots babbling on and on about nonsense, just because they asked a simple question.

Because a certain user here was crying his tear glands dry, every single day because he couldn't handle other users here telling the truth about him.

    Isn't that just hilarious?

Because many commentators are more interested in flaming than debating.  I think commenting was disabled temporarily in order to keep the site from becoming an endless pool of hate speech and that commenting will return after the elections.

You can still comment if you have a Yahoo+ paid account.

VERIZON did not tell us the real reason. It seems to have to do with the presidential election in the USA next november.

What I CAN tell you is that nobody in the suggestion-board asked for it

Yahoo Answers isn't a chat site. It was designed for people to post a question, and to get answers. It wasn't created for back-and-forth exchanges, and was quite popular before the comment feature was added. Comments were used more to attack, berate, complain, and get around being blocked, than they were to make applicable and appropriate comments regarding a specific answer posted by a user.

    .

The reason Yahoo removed comments from YA and news articles, in their words, is posted below. My thoughts are, it was appropriate to remove the feature due to rampant abuse. There is no need for comments on YA, and anyone who wants to comment on a news article is free to link it to their own social media and share their thoughts there.

Source(s): Per Yahoo: "In order to strengthen and improve community and engagement, we are temporarily disabling comments. Our goal is always to create a safe, engaging place to connect over interests and passions and we’d love your feedback on how to improve this experience. Please email us your feedback at yahoocommentfeedback@verizonmedia.com"

I've lost count of how many god damn times you've been told. We can't comment on answers because people were using the comments to harass other users!

You ask a question, you get an answer.  That's how it works. If you need more information ask another question. This isn't (and never has been) a chat site; 'exchange of views' is what YA calls chatting.
