Does this look like oral herpes or something else? ?

Its a large painful lump on the side of my tongue. It’s not like excruciating pain, but it is definitely uncomfortable. Please help.

I don’t know if this has anything to do with it but I have been drinking a lot of alcohol lately.

  • Usually oral herpes occurs on the out side of the mouth, it causes cold sores and fever blisters. Break outs usually itch, burn and or tingle. It's possible but not common to have herpes on the inside of the mouth.

It may be a reaction to some thing you ate / drank. I doubt it's herpes but do see your doctor and get it checked out.

You bit  it when drunk. Use a medicated mouthwash.
